Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has promised to construct a ‘Brahmin Bhavan’ in Hyderabad.
Addressing the ‘Archakas Mahasabha’ at Kakatiya Degree College grounds here on Friday, the Chief Minister said that the ‘Brahmin Bhavan’ would be constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crore. He claimed that he has been receiving the blessings of Chinna Jeeyar Swami for the past two decades. Stating that he was the first to set up Bhrahmin Parishad, he said that the government would help the temples for the promotion of spiritual and religious teachings for peace.
The Chief Minister also promised to resolve the problems being faced by Archakas in the State. He said he would direct Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma to convene a meeting with the Secretary of Endowments Department to list out the problems and find their solutions. He assured that the government would never utilise the revenues of endowments department and instead, it would provide required funds for the maintenance of temples. He also promised to increase the charges of ‘Dhupa Deepa’ services to Rs 6,000.
Stating that the government has taken a decision to sanction grants for Vedic schools, KCR said that the government would give good news to all Archakas in the State in the month of February. (INN)
