KCR Presidential suite, almost 12 lakhs burden on State Govt

Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to be following PM Modi by boarding a Presidential suite with king size bedroom, many rooms and a vast dining area which can accommodate a dozen guests by paying Rs 1, 50,000 plus taxes for a night at the famed Ashoka Hotel.

He is in the national capital on a 6-day trip to attend the first meeting of the National Institute for Transforming India (Niti) Aayog convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. .

The Telangana State have to pay not less than Rs 9 lakh plus 21% taxes for six days, besides footing the bill for food in the hotel.

Confirming KCR’s stay at the hotel, a representative of Ashoka Hotel said, “It is the best suite in the hotel. It is usually taken by celebrities.” It is not in common man’s reach, certainly a dream of upper class.

KCR usually stays at 23 Tuglaq Road bungalow which was allocated to him when he was the Union Cabinet Minister. He still retains it.
