TDP senior leader Mothkupalli Narsimhulu on Tuesday alleged that TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao (KCR) was playing with the people of the Telangana region utilizing their sentiment.
Speaking to the media here, Narsimhulu said that KCR set deadlines to the Centre on Telangana statehood several times, but all ended in vain. The statement of KCR that separate Telangana State would be carved out before Dasara festival also did not materialize, he pointed out. Stating that there were only 24 hours for Dasara festival, Mothkupalli questioned whether the Centre would announce Telangana by the night or tomorrow morning. He also directly questioned KCR to reveal what he had done during his sojourn in New Delhi for a month. He also demanded that KCR make public the details of his discussions with Congress leaders in New Delhi on Telangana statehood.
Alleging that KCR was deceiving the people of the region in the name of the agitation again and again, the TDP leader said that the people in the region would teach KCR a befitting lesson in the near future. He also alleged that the TRS was colluded with the Congress for votes and seats. He strongly criticized the TRS and Telangana political JAC for targeting the TDP. He also questioned the TRS leaders as to why they were not confronting the Congress, which was adopting delay tactics on Telangana statehood. (NSS)
