Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday instructed the officials to set up a super specialty hospital, along with the Health University in Warangal City and four super specialty hospitals in Hyderabad by the end of this year.
The Chief Minister also instructed the officials concerned to shift Warangal Jail, Hyderabad Race Course and Chanchalguda Jail in the city to a different place. He said funds for the establishment of the hospitals should be allocated in this budget. The CM held a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on the establishment of the super specialty Hospitals and Shifting of Jails and Hyderabad race Course.
Medical and Health Minister Dr C. Laxmareddy, Chief Advisor to the Government Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary SP Singh, Senior officials including Rajiv Trivedi, Tiwari, Ramakrishna Rao, S Narsing Rao, Kaloji Health University VC Prof Karunakar, DGP Anurag Sharma, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy and others participated.
The Chief Minister wanted that the Warangal Central jail premises which is adjacent to the Kakatiya Medical College should be made into one campus and there super specialty Hospital, Health University and maternity Block should be constructed. He wanted the officials to prepare the proposals in this regard. The Central jail should be shifted to the outskirts of the Warangal City. The Jail should be shifted after making alternative arrangements. Warangal MGM Hospital should also be developed.
In Hyderabad, the Chief Minister wanted the shifting of Chanchalguda Jail and Hyderabad Race Courses and residential institutions and other such people utility institutions should come up there. He also wanted the officials to prepare proposals. (INN)
