KCR orders pucca arrangements for Bonalu, Ramzan

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao today directed the officials concerned to make fool-proof arrangements for “Bonalu and Ramzan” festivals across Telangana State. The CM instructed the departments concerned to coordinate with each other to provide adequate security to people thronging the temples and mosques.
In a review meeting with all departments, Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma directed the officials to complete all the works in advance. It may be noted that the TRS Government announced that Bonalu is State festival and pump in funds to celebrate it on a grand scale. The CS stated that the CM wanted that the two festivals will be held in friendly and hassle-free manner. He also directed them to supply un-interrupted power supply, erection of barricades at selected places of worship and so on. There is a need to protect the interests of the government and ensure timely supply of basic amenities to the people and devotees, he said.
The CS also instructed them to provide all facilities such as medical and mobile teams, 108 vehicles, buses, high mast lights, garbage removal, de-silting of nalas and drainage lines, stationing drinking water tankers at temples for supply of pure and safe drinking water avoiding pollution through sewerage pipelines.
