Hyderabad, January 28: In a fresh offensive against TDP and the Congress, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday called upon the people of the region to teach a fitting lesson to them for not quitting their posts.
Addressing the TDP and Congress workers, who joined the TRS at Telangana Bhavan today, the TRS president wanted to know what had happened to the Congress MLAs’ statements that they would quit their posts after December 31. But even today, they are not coming forward to quit and instead were taking part in Rachabanda programme to curry favour with their party high command. The people in the region are aware of the way these representatives are behaving and are biding for time to teach them a lesson.
He said that Rachabanda will not solve the problems of Telangana region. Only a separate state would. The people would one day rise as one political force and then no force could stop creation of a separate state, Chandrasekhar Rao said. He expressed concern over the neglect of Telangana districts and said that the situation might turn from bad to worse if the Telangana remained a part of AP. “Even today in Nalgonda and Mahaboobnagar districts, people have no access to safe drinking water. We do not get jobs. We do not get even water. How long should this discrimination and injustice continue?,” he asked.
