Hyderabad, February 05: Intensifying their agitation, pro-Telangana TRS, BJP and other organisations would launch a “non-cooperation movement” for achieving the separate statehood goal from the second week of this month.
Leaders of the parties, under the auspices of the Telangana political Joint Action Committee (JAC), would meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy tomorrow and convey to him their decision to undertake the “non-cooperation”.
TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that the non-cooperation agitation would be launched from the second week of this month to press the Centre for taking steps for formation of separate Telangana immediately.
“The non-cooperation movement would be started from the second week of February. The whole government employees in Telangana are going to participate. Buses, trains, offices, courts, colleges and others are not going to function. It will be a peaceful agitation in Gandhian way. God only knows how long it will continue,” TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao said.
The Telangana government employees unions have already announced their decision to start the non-cooperation agitation from February 17
