Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Home Minster N Narsimha Reddy today extended Ramzaan greetings to Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali and his family members at latter’s residence here. Along with Minister Padma Rao, MP K Kesava Rao, MLC P Sudhakar Reddy, Salim Khan, Government Advisors Vidyasagar Rao, K V Ramana Chary, AK Goel, Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma, DGP Anurag Sharma, BR Meena and other officials, KCR called on Mahamood Ali and exchanged pleasantries on the occasion.
Ramzan is the festival that is noted for spreading secular feelings among all communities besides strengthening the bond between each other. Mahamood Ali with festive fervor applied famous “Ithar” – in local Urdu parlance (otherwise known as Scent of fragrance) on the right hand of the Chief Minister. They together joined the Ifthar Party hosted by Mahamood Ali later. On the auspicious occasion of one month long festival Muslims offer prays on frequent intervals which came to an end by sighting the “Crescent” all over the world.
