KCR Nagar house plot owners plead for justice

The KCR Nagar Residential Welfare Association members have urged the State government to intervene and ensure physical possession of lands to the 3,069 members who paid Rs 20,000 DD a few years ago for 100 yards each in 100 acre land.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, the members of KCR Nagar Residentail Welfare Association said they were given permission to construct the houses by the Kuntluru village in Hayathnagar mandal in Ranga Reddy district after receiving proceeding in 2011. But the Bhoodhan Yagna Board’s former chairman Gunna Rajender Reddy failed to shown physical position to the beneficiaries with negligence. Rajender Reddy alsol demanded 3069 members to pay Rs 1 lakh each. Due to non-payment of Rs 1 lakh, Rajender Reddy orchestrated attacks on the members with his followers and was harassing the members by making threatening calls. When the members dared to construct a Prof. Jayashanker’s statue by entering into their physical position, Rajender Reddy’s followers destroyed Prof. Jayashanker’s statue. The members once again erected Prof. Jayashankar’s statue in the same place, they said.

Stating that the documents were in their favor, the members said the Bhoodhan Yagna Board stopped working after the TRS came to power. Taking this as an advantage, Rajender Reddy floated Bhoodan Yagna Board Parirakshana Samithi and launched attacks on the members, they alleged. They also alleged that the followers of Rajender Reddy along with daily wage workers attacked KCR Nagar Residential Welfare Association president V Baburao’s residence. They urged the government to interfere in the issue and do justice to them. (NSS)
