TDP MLA Revanth Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao (KCR) has misguided the Legislative Assembly on the hike in prices of the Cement.
Speaking to the media in NTR Trust Bhavan here, Revanth Reddy reminded that the Competition Commission has earlier inquired into the cement price hike and imposed Rs. 6,500 crore fine on 11 cement companies for creating artificial shortage of the Cement in the market. He questioned as to why the Telangana Government was not taken action even though the Cement companies wantonly created artificial shortage of the Cement.
He demanded that the Vigilance and Enforcement departments should conduct raids on the cement companies and their godowns.
Revanth Reddy informed that he would write a letter to the Telangana Chief Minister in the matter.
