Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao called on President of India Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.
The Chief Minister was accompanied with Minister Jagadish Reddy, TRS MPs Jithender Reddy, Vinod Kumar, Konda Vishveshwar Reddy, Malla Reddy and K. Kavitha, Advisor to TS Govt G. Vivek, ex-minister G. Vinod and TS Govt representative in Delhi Venugopala Chary.
KCR congratulated Ram Nath Kovind on assuming the charge as the new President of India. Kovind reciprocated by thanking KCR for his support to his candidature.
The Chief Minister briefed the President about various developmental activities and welfare schemes of Telangana Government. He told President that Telangana’s GDP was 21.5% while the GDP of other new States like Chattisgarh was just 10.2%. He said Telangana was growing at a rapid pace when compared to many other States. He also briefed the President about Mission Kakatiya which revived thousands of small lakes and tanks in the State. (INN
