KCR meets Guv, talk on HC, irrigation row

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here and reportedly discussed on the successful drive of Haritha Haram and active participation by the people. It is understood that KCR prominently touched upon the high court bifurcation issue, irrigation projects and water allocation and ongoing Haritha haram for expanding green cover.

The Chief Minister is understood to have closeted with Narasimhan for about more than one hour  and sought him to exert pressure on the Centre on high court bifurcation and cancellation of options given to Andhra judicial officials in the court besides revoking the suspension of some judicial officials for participating in protest strike. Though what transpired between them is not known, it is said that KCR who is to attend a meeting of Chief Ministers in Delhi called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is said to have asked Narasimhan to apprise the Centre of high court bifurcation and help resolve the impending imbroglio between the two Telugu States.

The Chief Minister is said to have touched upon irrigation row remaining unresolved due to negligent attitude of the Andhra Pradesh Government. The meeting assumes significance in the wake of the Governor told media persons in Vijayawada after a meeting with AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu recently that the latter will meet with his Telangana counterpart to resolve all the issues like high court bifurcation, irrigation row and others.
