KCR meets Guv; invites to State formation day fete

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today extended an invitation to Governor ESL Narsimhan to attend Telangana State Formation Day celebrations to be conducted at Parade Grounds on June 2 at 9.30 am.

The Chief Minister called on the Governor and closeted with him for about half-an-hour and spoke on issues related to delay in bifurcation of the departments and officials. The meeting assumes significance in the wake of Union Home Ministry calling a meeting of chief secretaries of both the States on key issues.

CS meets Narsimhan

Earlier, Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma also called on the Governor and invited him to the statehood celebrations.

According to informed sources, the Chief Secretary apprised Narsimhan about a meeting he participated along with his AP counterpart IYR Krishna Rao called by called by Union Home Secretary at Delhi a couple of days ago. Rajiv Sharma also informed the Governor that he had reiterated the Telangana stance with regard to 9th and 10th schedules of AP Reorganisation Act and vouched for speedy bifurcation of the officials and departments.
