KCR to meet Jaitley for more funds

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who is in Delhi will meet with Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley on Thursday.

According to the information, the Chief Minister will urge Jaitley to make adequate financial allocations in the budget to speed up the ongoing development works and projects. KCR, who had already expressed his ire on the meager allocation of Central budget to the State or for the projects and development works, is likely to make it a point that the Centre should make necessary allocations to boost development in the State.

As several flagship programs are on fast pace, more money was needed for completing them, the chief minister is to make a strong pitch with Jaitley to offer required financial assistance. KCR will impress upon the Centre in a smooth manner as the youngest state is making rapid strides in all sectors and giving impetus to irrigation projects, development works and welfare the Central funds key to complete them.

Despite loss through GST and notes ban ramifications, the state government has offered complete support to the NDA Government. At this juncture, the Chief Minister is to urge the Center to offer more funds to the State. (NSS)
