KCR may undertake low key campaign in Nizamabad

Hyderabad, June 11: In all probability, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao may not take up an aggressive campaign in Nizamabad constituency where PCC chief D Srinivas may contest for the ensuing bypolls. Rao has good relations with the PCC president.

The TRS leadership has already declared that it is not going to put up their candidate in Nizamabad constituency but contest the other seats.

The Congress party has almost taken a decision to contest the byelections and Srinivas may contest from Nizamabad constituency against the BJP candidate Y Laxminarayana, who quit on the Telangana issue.

According to TRS sources, its party chief has decided to play key role in the election campaign in all the11 constituencies by undertaking a `bus yatra’.

“If the TRS chief campaigns vigorously in Nizamabad against Srinivas it may spoil the relations between the Congress and the TRS . If he does not campaign it will send wrong signals to the BJP in the region. Hence, Chandrasekhar Rao may undertake a low key campaign in Nizamabad,” a senior leader said.

Several TRS leaders said their chief would participate in the election campaign under the banner of Telangana political joint action committee (JAC) and that would solve all the problems.
