Hyderabad: Leader of the Opposition in Telangana Assembly K Jana Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao failed to fulfill his major poll promises and let down people of the state.
Speaking at the two-day hunger strike camp launched by Congress leaders DK Aruna and Ponnala Lakshmaiah against the alleged unscientific method in reorganization of districts, Jana Reddy said that the TRS rode to power by making numerous promises like providing free KG to PG education, 12 quota to minorities and Tribals and double bedroom houses for the poor among the major promises but failed to fulfill any of them and this amounts to cheating the people of the state.
On reorganization of districts, the Congress leader said that the Chief Minister promised to take into account wishes of the people while creating new districts, but failed to do so. He said that the state government was pursuing anti-people policies and warned that the people of the state would teach TRS a befitting lesson in the next elections.
Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir demanded that a judicial commission be formed for reorganisation of new districts. (INN)
