KCR left people in lurch through fake promises: CPM

CPM state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram on Saturday lashed out at the KCR government saying that it failed to keep up its promises made to Adivasis and Tribals.

Speaking at a public meeting near Indiravelli, the CPM leader said that TRS chief had promised that he would provide people friendly governance and would strive for all round welfare. KCR had promised that he would see that there were no dharna and protest in the new state. However, after the two years of TRS rule there is discontent and people are unhappy with the KCR rule, the CPM leader said.

He alleged that the government failed to protect the human rights and violated tribal rights by trying to take away tribal lands. He said that the government was also resorting to fake encounters and harassing adivasis. The government failed to keep its promise of providing free KG to PG education and left the farmers in lurch by not fulfilling its promise of waiving loans, Veerabhadram said.

Earlier the CPM leaders paid floral tributes to martyrs memorial. (INN)
