The much-hyped TSIPASS (Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System) was today unveiled in the presence of industrial barons and business honchos at HICC by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here on Friday.
The new land policy offers 1.60 lakh acres of land bank, permissions in two weeks, chasing cell with CMO, zero graft and 100 per cent transparency, besides basic amenities like water, 24-hour power supply, roads, infrastructure and others. KCR announced that in 10 to 15 days, all required permissions will be granted to the companies. Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma portrayed the picture of Telangana abundant with resources, 150 industrial organizations and 28 special economic zones.
A special officer will clear the applications filed online with self certification in a simple and single page format without any hassles. Even as the Chief Minister had interacted with business honchos and industrial bigwigs on the new industrial policy and asked them to rope in with investments to develop together. Initially, a power point presentation was given to woo the investors at the rendezvous through buzz words of “Welcome to Telangana” and Welcome to Hyderabad”, Come, Invest and Let’s Grow Together”. KCR also launched the brochure of the new industrial policy along with Industries’ Minister Jupally Krishna Rao.
The new industrial policy, first of its kind at national level, prepared on par with that of Singapore Economic Development Board, was launched by the Chief Minister in the presence of Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, IT Minister K T Rama Rao, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy and others. Some 2,500 companies of national and international level, including their CEOs and heads of businesses, industries and companies, besides various other institutions turned up on the occasion.
Fascinatingly, some 112 companies came forward seeking 164 approvals, according to Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao. They are ready to invest Rs 6,000 crore and will offer about 21,000 jobs, he remarked. The objective of the government is to ensure that Single Window Policy that sans grills will offer all permissions in stipulated two weeks to the industries divided into four categories – green, orange, red 1 and red 2. Except red 2 category, all others will get permissions through State Government which will take penal action on departments for delay. The TSIPASS offers maximum facilitation with minimum inspection to the applicants, who can get a right to timely permissions for their businesses. (NSS)
