Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today eulogized Reddy Jana Sangham community for its yeomen services to the society for seven and-a-half decades in the twin cities.
Participating as the chief guest in the Sangham’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations conducted at Aliabad near Charminar here, the Chief Minister extolled the Reddy Jana Sangham for owning a great history and playing a key role in the society for quite a long time. On the occasion, KCR announced that to mark the services of Reddy community stalwarts, his government would install statues of Rajabahadur Venkatrama Reddy, Suravaram Prathap Reddy and Ravi Narayana Reddy on the Tank Bund. “It is not a simple thing to offer laudable services for the past 75 years,” the Chief Minister noted.
“On behalf of the government, we will offer Rs 10 crore to the Reddy Janasangham Society besides allocating 10 acres of land for Reddy Hostel expansion on the city outskirts”, KCR stated. He also unveiled a memorial to mark the diamond jubilee event.
Lokayukta Justice V Subhashan Reddy, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, VHP International president Raghava Reddy and others were present. (NSS)
