Putting an end to the speculations of growing differences among them, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and TPJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Friday jointly announced that the movement for separate Telangana would be intensified in the next few days.
The members of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee including Kodandaram met at the residence of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president at Banjara Hills on Friday evening to decide the future course of statehood agitation. Talking to media later, KCR announced that November 29 would be observed as Deeksha Diwas, to mark the third anniversary of his fast unto death for Telangana. Further, on December 9, the day when the then Union Home Minister P Chidambaram announced the formation of Telangana State in 2009, will be observed as Black Flag Day.
Addressing the media, Prof Kodandaram announced the TPJAC’s total support for the Deeksha Divas and other protests by the TRS. He said that all leaders from the Telangana region would jointly struggle for the formation of Telangana.
When asked for reaction about TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s statement that he might introduce No Confidence Motion if required, KCR said that the Congress Government was “one the edge” and anything could happen anytime.
