Stating that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao knows the problems of the people if he stays among the people, Nagarkurnool MP Nandi Yellaiah alleged that Gadwal-Macharla railway line was in pending as KCR was not giving time to Railway officials and state officials to discuss on it.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday along with former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, Yellaiah claimed that the Chief Minister was not giving state government’s nod on its partnership and hence the work was kept in pending. He said that he fought against centre for the sake of railway projects in Telangana and asked the then Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu to sanction Gadwal-Macharla railway line through Nagarkurnool and the distance was 185 kilometers and the estimated price was Rs. 290 crores. “I also asked the Chief Minister for several times on it”, he said and bemoaned that there was no use in addressing letters to the Chief Minister for several times on it.
