Telangana TDP leaders on Monday accused Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of blackmailing his Andhra Pradesh counterpart and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on the issue of ‘Cash for Votes’ case.
Speaking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan here, TDP leaders M Narasimhulu and E Peddi Reddy said that the audio tape leaked to the media was part of the blackmailing tactics. They said people have not a Chief Minister of Naidu’s caliber in the last 30 years. They said KCR became Chief Minister by hijacking the Telangana movement and got his entire family inducted into the cabinet.
Narasimhulu said people were not happy with the TRS rule and they’ve started thinking that their lives have remained unchanged despite formation of Telangana State. While students and youth are waiting to get recruited in different departments, Dalits are waiting to make their nominee the next Chief Minister. Except for purchasing the legislators of other parties, KCR did nothing else, he alleged.
Narasimhulu asked KCR to explain as to how his strength in Assembly increased from 63 to 85 in the last one year. He alleged that the MLAs were paid crores of rupees to join the TRS. He said the incidents like ‘Cash for Vote’ would lead to enmity between the two States. (INN)
