For the inauguration of the Kakatiya programme in the State, the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao invited the Minister of water resources Uma Bharti, accepting the invitation, she promised to visit the State on May 16.
Government is planning to restore 45,000 tanks and lakes in a special intensive survey on minor irrigation tanks.
By restoring maximum tanks, the project can provide 270 TMC of water for agricultural, irrigational, livestock and drinking water purposes. The Chief Minister also discussed about Pranahita-Chevella Project demanding national status for the project and demanded Godwari-pushkar project and more funds on the lines of new guidelines.
