Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today invited Sri Bharathi Theertha Swamy, Pontiff of Sringeri Sharada Peetham to “Ayutha Maha Chandi Yagam” – considered pious for the welfare of Telangana people.
Accompanied by his wife Shobha and some Vedic pundits, the Chief Minister reached Sharada Peetham in Chikmagalur in the neighbouring Karnataka State and offered invitation to the Seer for the Yagam. KCR apprised the Seer of the arrangements being made for the Chandi Yagam and sought his blessings by gracing the Yagam that will be starting on December 23 and ending on December 27.
Besides blessings, the pontiff also gave him some instructions and advice on the Yagam and its procedures. Earlier, the temple priests and officials received the Chief Minister and his wife at the Peetham. It is learnt that the pontiff agreed to attend the ritual being conducted for the welfare of the people of the state. It may be said here that KCR HAS already invited through a skype call to Art of Living founder Ravi Shankar. (NSS)
