KCR inspects facilities at Indira Nagar

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has reiterated that his government was firm on providing housing facility to nearly two lakh poor families in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

The Chief Minister on Tuesday visited Indira Nagar Basti of Sanathnagar and Kukatpally Assembly constituencies and inspected the works relating to construction of roads and weaker section housing. He also interacted with the locals on the civic problems being faced by them. Speaking on the occasion, KCR said over two lakh families were living in highly deplorable conditions in the city and they would provided two-bedroom flats soon.

KCR said that the slum areas, which are inhabited by labourers and other working classes, were in extremely bad shape and lack basic civic amenities. He promised that 2BHK flats under G+2 scheme would be constructed for the residents of Indira Nagar Basti. He asked the officials to prepare the layout for the construction of proposed houses. He also announced construction of a community hall near HPS.

Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Excise Minister T Padma Rao, GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar and other senior officials were also present. Later, the Chief Minister reviewed the tree plantation drive in reserve forest areas near Outer Ring Road. (INN)
