Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday alleged that except for luring leaders of opposition parties, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao did nothing in 2015.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TRS Government was not serious about development. He said that the entire development in Hyderabad took place only during Congress party’s regime. However, he said by inaugurating the project initiated during the Congress Rule, TRS leaders were trying to take credit for the same.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress party has foiled the attempts of TRS Government to remove the name of lakhs of electors from the voters’ list. He said that the TRS Government was trying to terrorise the settlers from Seemandhra. He said that the Congress party would provide full protection to people from other States, including Andhra Pradesh.
The TPCC chief also accused the TRS Government of delaying the Metro Rail project which intensified traffic problems in the city. He appealed to the people to teach TRS a fitting lesson in the forthcoming GHMC elections. He said that the Congress would have a fight with MIM in Old City and TRS in new city areas. (INN)
