Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has been given a warm reception at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Amravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh.
KCR was received by AP’s Deputy Chief Minister Chinna Rajappa, Eluru MP Maganti Babu and others on his arrival to the venue. Later, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu welcome KCR and both the Chief Ministers stayed together throughout the function.
Naidu and KCR together received Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they remained in same frame during a photo exhibition, unveiling of plank and on the dais. The crowd cheered for KCR when he was welcomed on stage by Naidu with a flower bouquet.
Addressing the event, KCR offered complete help to Andhra Pradesh in the construction of new capital and hoped that Amravati would emerge as the most modern city in the country. (INN)
