KCR elected to Assembly eight times & Five times to LS, Record

Hyderabad: TRS supremo and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has created a history by winning Assembly elections for the eighth time now, besides winning Lok Sabha elections five times. He is the senior-most Member of the Telangana State Assembly now.

Rao was elected to the Assembly in the undivided Andhra Pradesh in 1985 for the first time as TDP candidate from Siddipet, and again in 1989, 1994 and 1999 as TDP nominee. He was elected from the constituency in the 2001 and 2004 elections, as TRS candidate. In the 20014 election, he was elected to the Assembly, as TRS candidate, from Gajwel segment, and again in the present elections.
