KCR doling out promises to woo voters in GHMC poll: TDP

Telangana TDP MLA Maganti Gopinath today said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been doling out promises to the citizens in view of the ensuing GHMC elections.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Gopinath said instead of addressing problems of people like drought situation, drinking water shortage and electricity, KCR was promising to build two lakh double bedroom houses for poor in the city. He also asked about the position of 60,000 houses under JNNURM in the jurisdiction of Hyderabad? “The Chief Minister is making false promises in view of GHMC elections”, he alleged.
“The Telangana government should concentrate on solving the problems of people. There was a severe drinking water shortage in some localities under GHMC limits where people are getting water once three days”, he said.
Demanding that the State government release a white paper on the promises fulfilled by the KCR government during the last ten months, Gopinath said KCR had promised that 200 to 300 acres of land would be allotted for a dumping garbage on the city outskirts six month ago. But so far no action has been taken in this regard, he said.(NSS)
