Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy today lambasted at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for playing gimmicks in politics.
Talking to reporters here, he alleged that the Chief Minister is diverting the actual problems by focusing on non-issues. He attributed that KCR raked up the fresh issue of using Osmania University lands for construction of houses for the poor only to divert the issue of providing jobs to students. He sought to know why KCR is not responding to the demand for notification for jobs and students taking up protest rallies. Instead of issuing notifications to fill up vacant jobs, KCR Government is hoodwinking the students, he alleged. The chief minister should desist from doing publicity stunt through diverting the problems of the people, he said. The Government has taken up clean drive of “Swatch Hyderabad” only with a hidden agenda of GHMC elections, Reddy said. The TRS leadership is eyeing on the GHMC elections and took up the clean drive, he said. The congress leader also alleged that works related to Godavari Pushkaralu is filling the pockets of contractors. The government should ensure that the works are done without any room for misappropriation of the funds being allotted for the Pushkar ghats and others, he suggested.(NSS)
