TRS supremo K. Chandrasekhara Rao here on Wednesday demanded that the APSRTC management to recruit women in the jobs earmarked for them.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day today, Telangana Mazdoor Union organized a seminar with women conductors and women employees of the corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR assured the gathering that he would regularize the services of contract workers in the APSRTC after formation of Telangana State. He also promised that the RTC employees would be paid salaries on par with the State government employees. The TRS leader suggested to the seminar to pass a resolution to make the women, who outnumbered males in the population, as partners in the reconstruction of the nation. He said that he would forward the resolution to the Prime Minister and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in the form of letters.
Faulting Union minister and AICC emissary of Andhra Pradesh Vayalar Ravi’s remarks against Telangana recently, KCR said it was not proper for Ravi to talk sarcastically on the sentiments of the four crore people of the Telangana region.
