KCR Delhi trip successful: Chary ‘Reports on TRS joining Modi Govt false’

TRS Special Representative in New Delhi S Venugopala Chary today said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Delhi tour was a grand success.

Speaking to the media, Venugopala Chary nailed reports that TRS was trying to join the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre. “Though a section of the media carried out stories in this regard, it is not correct that the TRS was joining the BJP Government. It was only a sort of propaganda by some people”, Chary said.

His remarks assume significance in the wake of reports that KCR’s Delhi stint pushed for joining the NDA Government to get some ministerial berths to some MPs and his daughter Kavitha and others. “Such publicity is not correct and we are focusing on giving outside support to the Narendra Modi Government”, he said, adding that “The TRS will offer issue-based support to the Centre and will question it when our interests are not protected”, he asserted. “If the Centre’s decisions hamper Telangana and its people, we will sure oppose the BJP Government”, he pointed out.

The TRS leader exuded confidence that the Centre will allocate funds to the State during Parliament session. Chary also said Modi government was expected to offer financial assistance and support to the Telangana as sought by KCR to implement various programs. (NSS)
