Hyderabad: TRS MP B Vinod Kumar today slammed the Congress and the BJP for miserably failing to give people-friendly government at the Centre and the nation desires a strong alternative to both the national parties.
Talking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan here today, Vinod Kumar said TRS supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao had conceived Federal Front plan in the year 2006 only and not now in the wake of his party’s massive victory in the recent Assembly polls. The Congress and the BJP vied with each other for power and ignored welfare of the poor, farmers and working class, he said, adding that the Opposition parties are jealous at the TRS getting support of the regional parties for the federal front and making ridiculous charges.
Vinod Kumar accused the two national parties of miserably failing to cater to the needs of the people. Fed up with the lopsided policies of the Congress and the BJP, the people are looking for an alternative at the national level and KCR was trying to forge an alliance in that direction. He called upon the regional parties to join hands to fight against the Congress and the BJP in future polls in 2019.
“It is high time for the regional parties to emerge victorious by joining the federal front to give qualitative change in national politics”, Vinod Kumar said. He also exuded confidence that the Federal Front was garnering support from various States and will emerge victorious. When in the Opposition, both the Congress and the BJP vied for power only as there was no alternative political front, he said, adding that the FF by KCR will fill that gap in 2019 polls.
