KCR for communities’ development: Etala, Jogu

Hyderabad: Finance Minister Etala Rajender and BC Welfare Minister Jogu Ramanna today said 24 more castes in backward class community will be developed on par with other 36 castes identified in the State for their welfare besides including others that are lagging behind. They also flayed that the previous governments had miserably failed to develop these castes which are away from mainstream. The previous regimes used these poorest classes of the society as mere vote banks and protected their seats and forgotten their welfare later on, they fumed.

Addressing the media at Secretariat after holding a key meeting of MBC castes with leaders of related associations, they said that only the TRS Government was making all out efforts to put these castes on growth trajectory by designing need based schemes.

K Chandrasekhar Rao is only the Chief Minister in the country to spend huge funds for all round development of these communities through several schemes they claimed. They also appealed to the people to attend in a large numbers “Pragathi Nivedan Meeting” at Kongarakalan on Sept 2 to be addressed by the chief minister. The people have to attend in huge numbers and make it a big success for future development they said. The meeting resolutions will be passed on to KCR for taking a final call for welfare of these classes in a phased manner.

The KCR Government will build “Self Respect Bhavans in Hyderabad which will provide these poor communities shelter besides developing into centers of culture, training and skills for providing employment and jobs. They also said that Telangana is only the state in the country to come up with several schemes for welfare Yadavas, fishermen and other most backward classes.

The ministers denied as baseless the comments of the Opposition that the ruling party was dividing society on caste lines. It is the TRS Government spending huge funds for their welfare through schemes, they claimed.
