Hyderabad: TRS working president KT Rama Rao today said Chief Minister K Chandraesekhar was trying to bring under irrigation 1.25 crore acres of land to flourish agriculture in Telangana.
Addressing a Zaheerabad Parliamentary segment TRS party preparatory meeting for LS polls here at Kama Reddy district, KTR said the schemes of the government will reach all, including people, who speak Telugu, Urdu, Kannada and Marathi. Some 40 Sarpanches of Maharashtra wrote letters by showing interest for merger of their villages into Telangana State by seeing Telangana welfare schemes, he said.
The BJP was playing communal card, he charged. The TRS schemes are showing a new direction to the country as several States are following them, he claimed. KCR’s ancestors were from Zaheerabad segment and he knows well about the farming and irrigation projects. Nizam Sagar project was designed to give ample waters to agriculture. The past rulers in undivided AP have threatened of gloomy days if statehood was given and it was replaced by people-friendly governance by KCR, he said.
The 24-hour power supply to farm sector has avoided protests at sub stations. KCR implementing the schemes which are reaching all sections and political parties, he said. Now Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima and pensions are reaching farmers and people alike also the single woman getting pension a major reprieve, he said.
The BJP and the Congress will not come to power at the Centre wherein an alternative coalition government will come into existence. The BJP government of Modi at the Centre denied Telangana funds and national status to a single project, he charged. KTR also said there was no chance for BJP and the Congress together to form the government as the people are fed up with their policies and misrule. He also said the TRS will win 16 MP seats in the polls and achieve national status to its project and funds for development and asked the leaders to coordinate and serve people.
