Hyderabad, September 21: Alleging that TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao has had ‘match fixing’ with the Seemandhra leaders like Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, senior Telangana Congress leader and CWC member G Venkata Swamy today urged the people of the region not to trust the TRS leader and separate state would not be possible under his (KCR) leadership.
Speaking to newsmen here, Venkata Swamy said that the Seemandhra leaders were trying to halt the formation of separate Telangana state by having ‘match fixing’ with leaders like Chandrasekhar Rao. As part of match fixing, the TRS leader has planned a meeting with the CEOs (industrialists) of Seemandhra region shortly.
Vijayawada MP Rajagopal was known for such match fixings.
”KCR praising Rajagopal as a ‘hero’ has hurt the sentiments of Telangana people. Even now KCR should break his links with Seemandhra leaders,” he added.
Replying to a query, the veteran leader said that he would talk about giving posts to those (Seemandhra people) living in Telangana region, only after separate state was formed.
As of now, only ‘genuine’ Telanganites should get the posts, and no need to take ‘settlers’ into consideration in respect of recruitments in the region. He also made it clear that he was not against creation of separate PCC for the region.
