KCR for clean revenue records

The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao made it clear that perfect measures to be taken up to clear the land disputes and to curb the land “danda” and to bring the land distributed to the poor into use.

 

The Chief Minister conducted a high-level review meeting along with Revenue officials at his Camp Office here on Thursday. On the occasion, the Chief Minister asked the officials to prepare needful policy and a program to solve all issues concerned about lands in the State. He said there were several problems and mess regarding land dealings. Some of the lands are registered on the names of multiple persons violating norms. The details mentioned in the Pattadar pass books were different from actual land. There was no clarity on assigned lands and there was no clarity on who was enjoying (Kaastu).

Due to these problems, the land disputes were increasing and the cases were running for several years. The Chief Minister wished to end all these mess. There should be clarity on whose name was mentioned in the patta (owner) and whose name was mentioned in the Kaastu (enjoyer), KCR asked the officials. He suggested the officials to encourage the land owners, who were continuing on sada-bynamas, to register the land in their names and change the names. There was no clarity on distributed assigned lands, sealing lands and Boodhan lands, KCR said and opined that the situation in field level was different from government land records.

He asked the officials to prepare a needful policy to organize record for every acre and to solve the land disputes. The senior officials, district collectors have to give suggestions to the government, KCR said. KCR talked over Telephone with Warangal Collector, Peddapalli and Siddipet RDOs and enquired about the real situation. He directed the officials to clean the records and then only computerize them and kept them online. (NSS)
