Hyderabad, September 12: Has KCR who has been stating right from the beginning that his party TRS’s sole aim was achieving Telangana, changed his route? One would say yes, if one observes his style of functioning and thinking. There is criticism that KCR has been trying to grow as a political Don in the guise of the Telangana movement. He has been concentrating more on getting more seats for his party in 2014, than achieving Telangana.
Forgetting the allegations made by other parties on KCR, even his own party leaders and people’s organizations have also been making several charges against him. Balladeer Gaddar has openly said that apart from frequent by-elections, KCR has achieved nothing towards the goal of Telangana. KCR has been trying to paint both the Congress and the TDP as traitors with his jugglery of words. With this, the much required unity among the opposition parties is lacking.
It would appear that the fight of the opposition parties of Telangana was more for political supremacy, than achieving Telangana. It should be said that KCR was the main reason for this situation. JAC convener Prof. Kodanda Ram has totally failed in his responsibility of coordinating all the parties fighting for the Telangana state. His decisions appear to be more like the decisions of the TRS and not the JAC’s. Several leaders have pointed to this.
KCR’s nephew Harish Rao holds an entirely different view of the situation. He says that those who have resigned for Telangana should not again contest, till Telangana was achieved. However, KCR who has set his eyes on the 2014 elections does not like his nephew’s views.
