Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has celebrated the Dussera festival at Yerravelli village of Medak district on Thursday.
Earlier, he laid the foundation stone for the construction of 285 houses in place of 104 old houses. He also sanctioned Rs. 32.54 crore to provide basic amenities in the village. The contract for construction of new houses has been awarded to Meenakshi Company which has entered into an MoU with the Telangana Government.
The Chief Minister said that all houses would have open space to breed cattle and poultry. All the houses would have tapped water supply and a provision is also being made for a Gobar Gas and Solar Power supply. Roads and other facilities are being constructed as per a layout. However, the beneficiaries would have to stay in temporary sheds till the construction of houses is completed.
KCR has also announced the construction of a library, community hall, bank, veg and non-veg market in Yerravelli village. (INN)
