KCR calls on Governor while State Govt. Advisor meet CEC

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao called on Governor E S L Narasimhan here at Raj Bhavan even as the Advisor to the State Government called on the Chief Election Commissioner in New Delhi today.

Rajiv Sharma, the Advisor to the Telangana Government, called on the Chief Election Commissioner at Nirvachan Sadan in the national capital. What is more even IT Minister K T Rama Rao was in New Delhi triggering off speculations with regard to early elections in the state.

The issue of holding early elections in the state seemed to have figured during meeting between the CEC and the Advisor to the Telangana Government. Rajiv Sharma is understood to have enquired with the CEC about the possibility of holding early elections in Telangana.

However, the Special Representative of the State Government in New Delhi, Venugopala Chary while interacting with the media stoutly denied that the State Government was planning to advance the elections in the state. There is no question of advancing the polls and it is nothing but mere speculations, he asserted. At the same time he exuded confidence that TRS would romp home comfortably and form the government once again whenever the elections are held.

Meanwhile the Chief Minister in a surprise move called on the Governor and spent some time in Raj Bhavan. These sudden developments both in the state capital and national capital once again ignited talk about the possibility of early elections in the state .
