KCR butchered democracy by encouraging defections: Nagam

Telangana BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy here on Thursday charged Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao with murdering democracy.

Speaking to the media at the exit gate of N Conventional Hall at Madhapur, where disgraced TDP MLA Revanth Reddy performed his daughter’s engagement ceremony, Nagam criticised Telangana Chief Minister for ‘corrupting the system’ and encouraging defections throwing all democratic norms and decency to the wind. “How did 13 MLAs, who do not belong to the TRS vote in support of the ruling party during the recent Legislative Council elections?,” he asked and demanded that KCR owes an explanation to the people of the State.

Stressing the need to launch an agitation against the style of functioning of the Telangana Chief Minister, Nagam said he was standing solidly behind Revanth Reddy as a friend. Stating that he would work for the TDP-BJP combine as desired by his party high command, Nagam hoped that Revanth Reddy would get justice. (NSS)
