KCR bowed before communists to win Munugodu seat: Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and the Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy came down heavily on chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and alleged that the latter “bowed” before the feet of the Communist Party of India (CPI) leaders of the state to win in the upcoming Munugode by-poll.

Reddy alleged that KCR is in a “clueless and helpless” situation ahead of the by-polls. He asked KCR, who allegedly insulted the communists in the past, as to how he had struck an alliance with the CPI now now.

Targeting the CPI leaders, Reddy asked them as to why they were falling in a “trap” by KCR. Revanth Reddy added that he was disappointed with the CPI for offering support to the ruling TRS in the upcoming by-elections in Munugodue. “KCR should swear by Yadadri Laxmi Narasimha Swami and state publicly that he was a rival of the BJP,” Reddy stated

Commenting on KCR’s Munugode speech, Revanth Reddy said that the public meeting did not serve any purpose in the state. “The CM had not talked about the works he did for the development of Munugode. KCR was once again trying to deceive the people of the state by raising the issue of national politics,” he added.

Referring to the statement of former Congress ex-MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy (now in BJP) that he had given crores of rupees as help to KCR, he asked the CM to reveal about his secret understanding with Rajagopal Reddy.

Revanth also mocked KCR and said the latter is responsible for party hopping acts of the MLAs in Telangana. “Was he not responsible for the growth of the BJP, which did not have any kind of existence in Telangana?,” he questioned
