Former Minister JC Diwakar Reddy who is planning to join TDP in a few days, today continued his tirade against the Congress Party. He found fault with the Congress for failing to decide on the location for new capital of the successor state.
Talking to reporters he said that there is no doubt about KCR becoming the first Chief Minister of Telangana state. Since statehood is becoming a reality now, it is for KCR to decide on merger of his party into the Congress fold. He predicted that the Congress will face drubbing in Telangana and Seemandhra during general elections. He took serious exception to the Congress high command for failing to take a decision on the new capital of successor state after bifurcation of Telangana. He ridiculed that AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi is a mad leader and it is up to her to decide on the new capital. ‘There is a stone in the hand of a mad lady and we don’t know where it will be thrown’, he said. If the stone is thrown into Nizamabad, then that will become the new capital of Seemandhra, Diwakar ridiculed.
He alleged that YSRCP is offering MP seat for Rs 30 crores and MLA seat for Rs 5 crores. He opined that just money will not do everything in the elections. Other factors that help a leader to win the fray are his attitude, behavior and efficiency and capabilities, he added. He expressed concern that it is painful to quit congress and join other.(NSS)
