Fresh poll trends indicated TRS Supremo K Chandrasekhara Rao will be the first Chief Minister of Telangana State, while TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to become Chief Minister of the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh and BJP leader Narendra Modi, who won both Vadodara and Varanasi Lok Sabha seats will take over as Prime Minister of India. Thanks to General Elections 2014 held after bifurcation which led the TRS to win peoples’ mandate in Telangana and TDP in AP and probably the BJP getting power at the Centre as people preferred to show the door to the Congress after a gap of 10 years led UPA Government.
The people of Telangana seemed to have given their mandate for the Pink party which tirelessly fought for 14 long years for statehood. And forming government in Telangana State is a history of sorts for the TRS with adequate majority of seats. The Congress party, which repeatedly boasted of retaining power for giving statehood to the Telangana, bit the dust and is likely to relegate to the third position. The Telugu Desam Party with it’s alliance partner BJP is set to become an Opposition party in Telangana. At around 1.45 pm. the TRS was leading with 65 plus MLA seats, the TDP was ahead with 20 plus MLA seats and the Congress managed to lead in only 11 plus MLA seats in Telangana. Thus it can be stated that the TDP is all set to become the main Opposition party in Telangana.
Interestingly, in Semandhra TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who got people’s mandate is to head the State and rebuild it while YCP Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will be the Leader of the Opposition.
People of the nation, fed up with the Congress, which caught in the cobweb of scams and corrupt deeds, gave the BJP a thumping majority by giving it more than 288 seats (magic figure 272) to form the government at the Centre. (NSS)
