The Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has announced Rs.5 lakh financial assistance to K Balakumar, who got injured to the bullets of police in 1969 Telangana Movement. Balakumar from Secunderabad participated in 1969 Telangana Movement and lost his leg in police shoot out.
Balakumar led his life by running public telephone booth for some years but he was facing severe financial problems as the public telephone booth was not running after the entry of mobile phones.
On Monday, Balakumar met the Chief Minister, who visited Mettuguda area as part of Swachh Hyderabad, and explained his condition. The Chief Minister immediately announced Rs.5 lakh financial assistance to Balakumar on the spot.
CM TAKES BACK HIS DECISION ON HMDA OUTSOURCING EMPLOYEES
In another development, the Chief Minister agreed to take back the outsourcing employees working with HMDA again. It may be recalled that the government removed outsourcing employees as part of setting right the HMDA. But the Chief Minister decided on Monday to take back them keeping their family conditions in view. (NSS)
