KCR accepts Naidu’s challenge of facing by-elections

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao accepted the challenge thrown by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu of facing another by-elections by resigning from the Lok Sabha seat.

Addressing an election meeting at Kollahpur on Sunday, Chandrashekhar Rao said that he along with all TRS MPs and MLAs would resign from the posts and face by-elections. However, he said Chandrababu Naidu too should resign along with his MLAs and MPs. He said if Naidu was ready to face by-elections, then he would be the first to submit resignation.

KCR accused Naidu of blocking the formation of Telangana in December 2010. He said Naidu, in connivance of the then Speaker N Kiran Kumar Reddy, enacted the drama of resignations by Seemandhra MLAs to block the Telangana formation.

Describing TDP as a Seemandhra party, he said no leader from Telangana region could become Chief Minister or party president if TDP comes to power. Similarly, he said Congress party too represents Seemandhra region wherein all major portfolios have been allocated to leaders of those region.

Former Minister and Nagarkurnool candidate Nagam Janardhan Reddy predicted his victory in the by-elections and said that the Congress and TDP candidates would not able to even secure their deposits. (INN)
