HYDERABAD: A 16-member delegation led by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today left for China and Hong Kong on a 10-day tour to participate in World Economic Forum at Dalian.
The chief minister will interact with some of the leading industrialists and explore the possibility of attracting investments into the state, a senior state government official said.
Rao’s visit has been mired in controversy for taking a chartered flight at a cost of over Rs 2 crore to the exchequer.
KCR and his team are scheduled to visit Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen in China.
Assembly speaker Madhusudhana Chary, Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud are among others in the entourage.
