Hyderabad, July 01: Police on Wednesday solved the mystery behind the murder of an woman at KBR Park. The deceased was raped and murdered by two persons, with whom the woman was moving freindly, since the past three months.
Investigating into the murder, police identified the woman as Radha Bai (24) of Tumkur in Shamirpet mandal in the outskirts of the city. Radha Bai reportedly had a quarrel with her husband and came to the city three months back.
She developed friendship with two persons, Uma Shanker alias Shanker and Sk Mastan Vali alias Sridhar, who are working in a private factory at Kavadiguda.
On June 20 night, the killer duo spotted the woman at Secunderabad and brought her to the KBR park where they raped her and later slit her throat with a knife.
Based on the contact numbers available on the mobile phone of the victim, police identified her and later nabbed the killers. “Shanker purchased the knife to eliminate a private security guard, who objected to his drinking a couple of days back. He killed Radha Bai with the knife while Sridhar caught the woman from resisiting the attempt,’’ Banjara Hills police said.
