Chennai, January 10: A Kazakhstan-based journalist was injured after he allegedly clashed with immigration officials when he suspected that one of them took his picture on a mobile phone during security check at the Anna International Terminal, airport sources said here tonight.
Forty-year-old Radick, who was enroute to Delhi from Colombo, entered into a heated argument with immigration officials, leading to the clash, and he was injured in the melee, they said.
The passenger, who went to Colombo on a tourist visa a month ago, was on his way to Delhi via Chennai this evening, the sources said, adding he was later handed over to the Airport police.
A case has been registered and further investigation was on, they added.
