New Delhi: During the recently held 8th International Festival of Dance and Music organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Kazakhstan’s Aktobe Regional Philharmonic performed at the Kamani Auditorium here.
Led by Director Elubai Kenzhaliev, artists of the Aktobe Regional Philharmonic performed Kazakhstan’s popular dances and songs.
The event was attended by people from all walks of life of India and Kazakhstan. It was inaugurated by ICCR president and senior BJP leader Vinay Sahasrabuddhe.
The highlight of the program was a joint performance by an ensemble of musicians and singers using Kazakh folk music instruments along with that country’s popular dances. Each performance was accompanied by a short history/background in Kazakh language, with a translation in English. (ANI)
